Michael Ferguson, BVSc (Hons) • Veterinarian & Owner
Michael graduated from the University of Queensland in 1999. Since then he has worked in a mixed practice in Australia and the United Kingdom, with some voluntary work in Thailand.
He enjoys dealing with clients and providing friendly and professional services. Michael became the owner of Wauchope Vets in 2010 after starting work here in 2007. He has three growing children and is the proud owner of Lulo, the Groodle. Michael can often be found riding his mountain bike around the forests of Wauchope and surrounding areas.
Elise Cooper

Dr. Elise graduated from University of Sydney at the end of 2019 and couldn’t wait to move back to the area to be closer to family.
Elise enjoys taking the time to get to know her clients and their pets and building strong relationships, so that they receive medicine and care tailored to their needs. She enjoys going above and beyond for her patients large and small.
On weekends she can be found taking her whippet to the beach, hitting a new bush track or enjoying a few coffees at the local cafés.

Sue has two adult children and four cats and a gorgeous dog called Scout. When she is not working, she can usually be found helping her husband run their commercial beef cattle enterprise or riding her horse.

Julie, Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, started working with Wauchope Vets in 2006. Julie enjoys nursing sick animals back to health. She likes to see them go home happy with their owners. She is a highly skilled surgical nurse and has mastered the laboratory equipment. She likes camping and spending time with her dog Flo.

Emily and her husband Daniel are kept busy with their toddler, Gemma; two dogs Pippy and Grimsey and two cats Maggie and Fred. She enjoys spending time with her family, baking treats and camping.

Jennie graduated with a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and a Graduate Diploma in Emergency and Critical Care. From 2001 she worked as an Internal Medicine Specialist Veterinary Nurse at Sydney University Teaching Hospital for 12 years. She has since been working with Broadmeadow Animal Referral and Emergency Centre and now also joins us at Wauchope Vets.
Jennie has a menagerie of animals including 7 horses, 3 dogs, 2 goats, 2 cows and one cat!

Janelle Anderson

After 40 years in Pharmacy, the last 10 years in management, Janelle decided on a career change and became the Office Manager now with a focus on animal health and preventative care! Janelle is very much a local, born and bred in Port Macquarie. She has had a number of pets over the years and enjoys her time now with her two spoodles, Baxter and Bazil, oh and her two children, Sophie and Chace.

Having worked in project management in Local Government and Natural Resources, turning her hand to the Veterinary world was always going to be a change! Leisa has been with Wauchope Vets since 2010 and manages the paperwork that comes with small business. She enjoys seeing the staff develop due to the variety of work that a regional Vet Clinic gets to see. She also loves the chance to cuddle the puppies!

Lulo is a playful, energetic and affectionate Groodle. She joined Wauchope Vets in 2019 after graduating Tate’s Puppy School. She is often found curled up under the desk in Reception or in the back office. She loves a walk, a pat or a ball to retrieve and loves going to the beach.

We had to say goodbye to our ever calm and friendly Tinto, the black Labrador. Tinto was with us since 2007. He was loved by the Fergusons, clinic staff and many clients. RIP our beloved Tinto – we will miss you always.
